Project Description
As part of the project The JW Group was previously contracted by the Information Systems and Telecommunications Division (ISO) of the Miami Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) to conduct a review and assessment of the technical approach and support methodology for specific special systems at the Miami International Airport (MIA). MDAD maintains operations and maintenance contracts with external service providers to support the many of the systems at the airport. The terms of agreement for the operations and maintenance support contracts with the service providers were set to expire in a future year.
As the original contracts were developed several years prior, new support elements had since been added and other elements modified and reduced. ISO wanted to review and assess the support methodology to determine whether a more optimal strategy was available based on the current and future environment.
