Project Description

The JW Group (JWG) provided professional coordination, design, and construction services for the upgrade of the airport-wide CCTV system at the Nashville International Airport. Coordination consisted of an onsite inspection and evaluation of the existing CCTV system and meetings with various stakeholders to discuss specific requirements of the upgraded system. The JWG designed the video management system software upgrades and server additions and upgrades to accommodate the anticipated project additions and established CCTV design standards for future projects. Cameras were added to provide increased coverage at existing jet bridges, concourse gate and hold areas, International Plaza building, and other areas, and wiring was added for monitoring of airline-installed dual-feed cameras to improve monitoring capability.

The project included the following:
  • Onsite inspection and evaluation of existing CCTV system.
  • Meetings with stakeholder groups.
  • Provide CCTV system options based upon stakeholder requests.
  • Develop opinion of probable cost for each design milestone.
  • Provide a final design that is acceptable to MNAA, TSA and the FAA.
  • Provide design standards for CCTV additions for upcoming projects.
  • Provide all necessary design, bid, and construction documents.
  • Provide support during construction.
