Project Description

A Passenger Terminal Feasibility Study was conducted in order to assess the maximum traffic capacity which the existing terminal building could accommodate. The study also included the preparation of recommendations for expanding facilities and optimizing airport operations in order to handle a capacity of up to 10 million passengers annually. The overall project scope included:

  • Assessment and Analysis of the existing passenger terminal building
  • Analysis of existing and future peak-hour passenger traffic volumes
  • Preparation of recommendations for enhancing terminal facilities
The deliverables for this project included:
  • Data Collection – Meetings with airlines and civil aviation authorities.
  • Analysis and assessment of existing passenger terminal facility.
  • Preparation of a study outlining the existing and future peak-hour traffic volumes.
  • Preparation of terminal space program outlining existing areas and recommended areas for all passenger functional areas.
  • Architectural design and operational recommendations for enhancing the existing passenger terminal in order to accommodate additional traffic volumes.
  • Recommendations for construction phasing in order to implement the terminal enhancements while maintaining terminal operations.
  • Preparation of Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) Cost for all proposed recommendations.
