Orlando, Florida, USA

Project Description

The JW Group was tasked to analyze the current state, identify gaps and develop a recommended methodology for accommodating third party service providers desiring to provide communications services to tenants located on the airport campus.  The approach included the identification of locations throughout the campus where service providers could install interconnection equipment, as well as required infrastructure modifications to support these locations. Infrastructure modifications included enhancements to both the cabling infrastructure and communications rooms as well as upgrades to the Greater Orlando Airport Authority (GOAA) Local Area Networking architecture. Additionally, a business model was developed to provide a cost recovery approach for to allow GOAA to recoup all associated implementation and maintenance costs through an appropriate charging model and methodology to the service providers
