The JW Group (JWG) was part of a team to develop a Security Master Plan (SMP) for the Department of Aviation at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). As part of the master plan, a site survey was conducted to review and assess the infrastructure (e.g. backbone cabling and network) to develop recommendations that included future projects, project descriptions, budgetary estimates, implementation durations, and recommended schedules.
Following the development of the SMP, PHL moved forward with an SMP recommendation involving an Access Control System Upgrade (ACS). The JWG was responsible for the development of backbone cabling and network requirements to support the ACS Upgrade resulting in construction documentation detailing room layouts, rack elevations, cabling and network logic drawings, and cost estimates.
