Denver, Colorado, USA
The JW Group (JWG) was retained by a 3rd party engineering firm to conduct a comprehensive review of the original VMS construction documents that were originally prepared by The Great Hall Partners prior to the City of Denver taking over the privatization-concession contract.
The JWG conducted a review of the original construction documents and provided security design enhancements for the new floor layouts for levels 3, 4 and 5 of the main terminal building. The new layouts included a new security screening checkpoint, baggage claim area, new check-in area islands and passenger transportation system platform. A Video Media System (VMS) Design Report was prepared that included cut-sheets for all recommended camera types, installation/mounting details, security VMS layout plans illustrating all proposed camera locations and cost estimates. Value engineering was also conducted to optimize camera locations and camera types used resulting in a substantial cost savings while enhancing the overall security coverage.
